“ What a gem of a place! Great ambience, great service, and the food is amazingly delicious. Their portions are massive for what you pay. The Vietnamese cold coffee is a must, if you ask me! I highly recommend this restaurant. ”
“ I can't speak for the service, as I only ever get takeout or delivery from Papaya, but I love that their food is consistency good. The food tastes fresh, and I can always count on it being delicious and pretty on time. I have noticed when I've been out shopping in the area and stop in for a takeout order that everyone working there seems really tired and a bit muted emotionally, but since I never dine-in, it's not an issue for me. Restaurant workers are allowed to be tired in my opinion, but not rude like a few of the other reviews state. Also, the person who gave a 1 star review for letting Door Dash's confusing UI trick them into a 10% tip could just complain to Door Dash about it... restaurants don't design Door Dash's UI lol. Our favorites are the tofu avocado fresh rolls, noodle salad bowls, pho, and my husband really likes their fried rice. Anyway, I'll definitely keep coming back for take out and delivery orders. I order like 1-2x per week. Thanks for being reliably delicious and fresh! ”
“ The Thai tea is amazing!!! Beef Pho is great although the meat is rough and hard, and the broth doesn’t have much flavor, the fried egg rolls are delicious though ”
“ Overall a very excellent place. We visited on a super busy Sunday evening, and could not have had a better experience. Service was great, especially our waitress. She was running the whole front end of the restaurant!! The food and drinks were really good, their Thai tea was amazing! Keep up the good work ”
“ Papaya in Renton, WA, has become a cherished spot for my daughter and me, a place where we find not just food but comfort, warmth, and a sense of belonging. Each visit to Papaya is like returning home, where we're greeted with the familiar aromas of our favorite dishes and the welcoming smiles of the staff. Plus we used to live across the street at the Sanctuary Apartments across from the movie theater. The menu at Papaya, with its vibrant and flavorful offerings, has something for everyone. However, we have our unbeatable favorites. The grilled pork skewers, with their perfect char and succulent meat, are a must-try. They're not just skewers; they're tender morsels of joy that melt in your mouth, leaving behind a smoky and savory flavor that keeps you coming back for more. Then there's the salt & pepper tofu, a dish that beautifully balances the softness of tofu with the crunch of a lightly seasoned crust, creating a delightful textural contrast. It's a simple dish elevated to something extraordinary, making it a staple for us. The combo pho is a bowl of comfort, with its rich, aromatic broth and generous servings of meats and noodles. It’s a dish that warms you from the inside out, perfect for any day. And let’s not forget the coconut curry rice, a harmonious blend of sweet coconut and spicy curry that's both comforting and exciting. Papaya isn't just about the food, though. It's about the experience. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere makes every dining experience feels special for me. It’s a place where my daughter and I can talk, laugh, and enjoy each other's company over a meal that feels like it was made just for us. For anyone in Renton, WA, looking for delicious food served with heart, Papaya is a destination worth visiting again and again. Whether you’re craving something savory, something spicy, or simply a place to make memories, Papaya remains one of my go to spots. ”
“ Papaya is a well-regarded restaurant located at The Landing in Renton, known for its exquisite Vietnamese cuisine. While the customer service is generally commendable, I did experience a problem in getting a refill of water. I had asked the male waiter for more ice and water, but he didn't return until it was time to settle the bill. Despite that minor issue, the restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere where patrons can enjoy delicious meals and then take a stroll along the strip or catch a movie next door. My favorite dishes include grilled pork belly with egg over rice in an iron pot, papaya salad with shrimp skewers, and oxtail noodle soup. If you find yourself near The Landing in Renton, I highly recommend visiting this establishment. Additionally, they offer a 10% discount for Boeing employees, which can be claimed by showing your badge to the waiter. Just make sure you genuinely qualify for this discount. ”
“ Delicious food! Wonderful outdoor patio! But truly, what made the experience so great was the waitstaff! Everyone was so kind. And, we brought our German Shepherd and they were so kind and sweet with her. Within 2 minutes of sitting down they brought out a bowl of ice water for her - it was so sweet and thoughtful . 10/10 would recommend you come visit! You won’t be disappointed! ”
“ We love Papaya in the Renton Landing. The quality and care to make every dish as beautiful as it is delicious is proven here. The vegetables are crisp and fresh in the cold dishes and their menu has many healthy choices. The meat is usually prepared perfectly, juicy and tender. The rice chicken stone pot is my husband's favorite and he orders it almost every time. The rice is sizzling and crispy on the bottom. The Pho is the best I've had anywhere. Mainly because everything is so fresh and the broth better than most. It's a large serving and hard for me to finish in one sitting. We've been coming here since they opened and continue to look forward to going back. The service is top notch, friendly and helpful. They let me have both of 2 choices of protein that I couldn't decide between in my noodle salad. It was so good with both a pork skewer and shrimp. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. It has low relaxing lighting with tables and chairs and booth seating. We would highly recommend this restaurant. ”
